GAZ Group began selling a new minibus GAZelle Next in all dealer centers on the territory of Russia and CIS countries. The vehicle is characterized by its modern design, a high level of comfort, good functionality and the best-in-class price. The new minibus GAZelle Next can be used both as a fixed-route taxi, and in the segment of corporate transportation. School buses and vehicles for low-mobility passengers on its base have been launched into production.
The bus is designed for transporting 17 passengers (16 seated and 1 standing place). The high (190 cm) and spacious passenger compartment with panoramic glazing provides the passengers with comfort on the way and the sliding door with electric drive and high door aperture, coupled with a low door step, provide for easy entry/exit. The door step moves out and retracts automatically when opening and closing the sliding door. The cabin space is decorated with materials from molded ABS plastic with good noise insulation and practical in service.
The minibus GAZelle Next comes with three types of engines: diesel, petrol and gas-petrol, which enables transportation companies to select the best transport solution in terms of the specifics of operation.
The bus body is made of galvanized steel, while some of its elements are made of high-strength fiberglass. This ensures long service life and good anticorrosion properties of the vehicle.
The increased body rigidity and programmable crumple zones incorporated in the design of the load-bearing elements, as well as safety belts on all seats, guarantee a high level of security.
Thanks to the front independent suspension and upgraded rear suspension that includes new leaf spring underframe and shock absorbers, the vehicle has high smoothness of drive and high stability even on bumpy roads. The dual-circuit braking system with front disc brake mechanisms has a triple safety margin. The vehicle can also be equipped with an optional forced lock on the rear axle, which significantly improves maneuverability on a slippery road, in sand or mud.
A number of technological innovations make the steering of the GAZelle Next bus more comfortable and the design more robust. The vehicle features remote drive (joystick) of the gearbox from Atsumitec Toyota Tsusho integrated in the instrument panel. The increased fuel tank capacity has grown to 80 litres, which allowed to increase the cruising range on a single filling.
During the preparation for production of the new generation Next model at the Gorky automobile plant, GAZ Group modernized its production lines: expanded lines of automatic stamping, welding and painting, as well as reorganized one of the branches of the general assembly line. This allows to weld, paint and assemble cargo panel vans and minibuses in one line flexibly responding to the changes in market demand.
